State of Sunshine (SOS) Zine
Created at Kala Art Institute artist residency in Berkeley California in collaboration with artist Kim Anderson, this hand printed screen-printed zine, State of Sunshine (SOS), reflects on the fragility of our natural and political ecologies. It is a reflection of our collective loss endured through book bans, educational censorship, and the upheaval of a small public liberal arts college when it came under political control in one of the most brazen attacks on public education in recent memory. State of Sunshine is a cautionary tale that illuminates the vulnerability of our democracy, but also offers a sense of hope and resilience in the face of adversity. This single sheet, six-page zine includes a poster on the back and is hand-printed on 70 lb French Paper in Timber Green. Folded the zine measures 4.75x6.25".
